Trustees use their expertise to drive the strategic development of the museum to ensure a better and sustainable future for the museum. The board meets 6 times a year with an average time commitment of about 2-3 days per month.
The Board of Trustees is looking for a Chair to oversee the board. Working with other museum personnel the Chair ensures we meet our strategic aims.

We have a number of volunteer roles. Working with other museum personnel, some of these roles could be shared on done remotely. Below are the different areas you can volunteer in.
Front of House - our most essential volunteer, opening the museum and providing a warm welcome to visitors.
Collections (preventative conservation, research, data entry) - these roles ensure our collections are safe and accessible to the community.
Community Engagement (schools, afterschool groups, adult outreach, social media) - engaging with Billericay's communities to ensure greater access to our collections.
